The... History of the Doughnut
The Prolonged and Completely Accurate History of the Creation of the Doughnut
One nondescript person might not think the history of the Doughnut to be something of the story. That is where this nondescript person would be completely and utterly wrong. Another nondescript person would probably be able to recognize the first nondescript person by their bland personality, poor choice of clothing, steep forehead, gaping mouth, and lesser intellect. You see, this second nondescript person is evolved and well learned, thus, he can recognize an imbecile when one is present, especially one who is vastly unfamiliar with one of time's most treasured confectionary delights. This title, of course, belongs to none other than the humble doughnut.
Now pardon the harsh judgment, but I assume that you are somewhere between the first nondescript person and the second nondescript person. Clearly you either do not know or cannot comprehend the wealth of knowledge enveloped around the doughnut, or you are

The Ministry of Hope
She knew that if anybody could save her, it would be the pastor. She stood outside the large wooden side doors. She didn't want to cause a scene, but she knew she would. The service was started and tens of thousands of eyes were now upon the pastor. She had never even been in such a large church before; she only saw the pastors miracles on her small television.
She took a shallow breath and pushed the door open. She was at a side door so close to the stage she could see the threading of the pastors shirt. She could hear his voice; it was slightly off from the voice booming over the speakers. She felt a rush of energy and the voice of God telling her to move forward.
She started to walk forward, but a hand harshly grabbed her shoulder and yanked her backward. "Ma'am," the voice and hand belonged to a large, hairy man in a blue shirt. "The service has started. You can't sit on the ground floor. Please go to another floor."
She looked in horror with her aged blue eyes at the man. Her weak

The Watcher
Everybody is being watched. Even when you know you're alone, believe me, you are being watched. It will hide underneath the table while you eat. It sit atop the refrigerator  while you cook. Sometimes It is in your car watching you from behind. Many times It is in a passing vehicle. Rarely is there a time when It isn't watching you. The moments when you think you are alone are only temporary. It always finds you and It will always be watching you.
Not everybody can see their watcher. Every person has one, and if they can see a watcher, it's only theirs. The few people who claim to see a watcher are in mental hospitals. Most of the others have committed suicide. There was a time when I thought that if I wasn't going crazy, then this thing must be out to get me. I contemplated suicide myself, but being of a relatively sound mind, I decided I should wait. Perhaps it would go away.

Critiques

I must say, as far as FMA fan art goes, this one turned out extremely well. For starters, it looks like it came right out of the Manga/...

Very good work. I found it very interesting because when I first saw this on the dA homepage, it was a flashy logo saying OMG ANIMATION...

As many of you have surely noticed, I popped back up to upload some Gallifreyan artwork I completed recently. Clearly, I'm still alive and capable of making art, so WHERE THE BLOODY FUCK IS THAT GODDAMN BLACK BOOK?!

Believe it or not, still in the works. I've been busy with my new job and such, but I've still been working on it here and now. I'm contemplating making small releases of the books rather than one large document all at once (then just throwing them into one big book in the end). I don't know for sure yet, but I'm liking that idea, and I imagine you all will like it as well.

I got a new laptop, so it's now easier to make this stuff. I also upgraded to Drawplus X8. It's pretty much exactly the same, but it feels a little more friendly and precise than X2. I still probably won't be making any /new/ arrays soon. That's mainly because I just don't have anything interesting enough to make an array out of. But you should be seeing plenty for Gallifreyan, so if that excites you, you're in for a treat!

Anyway, that's about it for now.

Hello! Welcome to my dA page!
So here is the deal; I am an alchemist. Not a legit alchemist (yet), but an artistic alchemist. Because of my love for alchemy and trying new things, I have an offer:

Nothing but a look at what I have and and promise to complete the Black Book of Alchemy. Requests are closed now so I can finish what I have and settle in with the Black Book.

On my page, I can offer you transmutation circles, arrays, tutorials, and other random stuff I decided to whip up. If you can't find what you are looking for here, try checking out the group.

:iconalchemy-junkies: - Its my group for alchemist types.

Thanks for dropping by. If you need anything or if I can be of assistance to you in any way, please feel free to ask (unless its a request. That's a no.)

Blye "Notshurly" Widmar

**Please check out my policies at the top of my page if you are looking to doing something with one of my arrays.

**If you plan on messaging me on facebook, please send me a friend request first. I probably won't see it ever if you message me without being friends first.

Hi! just for saying i really like your work, you've done a pretty great job concerning alchemy (i just found your page and i sarted by this ^^). I was wondering, did you use some external sources or did you just observe transmutation arrays in the anime and manga and lead your own conclusion? And, if you use external sources, could you say to us what was those? it could really help me in the way that i'm trying to make a synthesis of your work :)
thank you!

Question: Does your artwork pertain to strictly FMA based Alchemy or traditional Alchemy?
(I am aware that FMA has a lot of subtle references to traditional alchemy, and that finding those references is rather fun and enlightening.)

Would you be willing to do an analysis of the transmutation circle on Majhal's bracelet? I couldn't find a screencap from an episode, but I found a patch that looks like it: dkshopes.com/image/cache/data/…

If you're still looking for input/ideas for the black book, perhaps a section going more in-depth on how different polygons and nodes interact with one-another, and how alchemical symbols interact with the shapes they're placed in. (I.E what's the difference between putting sulfur in a circle, triangle or a square)

Hang on..."[the FMA people] tossed shapes together, and [you] went more in-depth with your designs" Is the lack of symbolism what was fundamentally wrong with them?

...what I don't understand is why a certain symbol has a certain meaning and not some other meaning. On a related note, does the text in an array have to be written in a certain language or spelled a certain way (such as phonetically)?
Why are specific symbols and/or circles necessary (is this a better question for Hiromu Arakawa)?
